PlayerUnknown’s Battleground or PUBG, a multiplayer online battle royale, is the most played game in India at the moment. Even though it was a massively successful PC and console game when it was released in 2017, its stripped down mobile version has crossed hundred million downloads on Android and iOS.
Brendan Greene, who was responsible for the creation of the game, was behind the name of it as well. ‘Player Unknown’ was the gaming name of the modder-turned-developer.
