In an interview with Malayalam entertainment Magazine Vanitha, popular singer and actor Vijay Yesudas revealed that he had stopped singing in Malayalam movies. The celebrated singer said that playback singers are not valued and given the due respect they deserve in Malayalam cinema. Which is why he decided to quit Mollywood.
He further added that such a problem does not exist in other industries such as Tamil and Telugu. Vijay also said that his father and veteran singer Yesudas also had bad experiences in the music world.
Vijay Yesudas has been in the film music industry for over 20 years now. The star kid, who always added feathers to his father's name, has won the state award three times. He also won the Best Singer award last year. Vijay Yesudas has also proved his talent in acting through the Kollywood flick Maari, playing an antagonist.
