Gopi Nainar the director of 'Aramm' is famous in Kollywood circles for filing a case against A.R. Murugadoss claiming that the blockbuster 'Kaththi' story belonged to him.  Now in a clear scenario of role reversals a plagiarism case has been filed against him.

M/s Vishnu Movie Makers based in Mysore have filed a civil suit seeking stoppage of exhibiting the Nayanthara starrer 'Aramm' in addition to compensation of 2 Crore rupees.  According to the producer H.G. Manoj Kumar his company had produced a movie titled 'Parivara' in Kannada in 2013 but could not release it due to financial troubles.  During distributor shows allegedly Gopi Nainar had also been invited and had praised the film and its crew.  However they were shocked to find the recently released 'Aramm' directed by Gopi Nainar and starring Nayanthara to have been copied from their film without obtaining any rights.  The case is up for hearing next week and it would be interesting to see if the claims are true or not.
