Pizza 2 The Villa
Debutante Karthik Subburaj put you on the edge of your seat with his career's trademark thriller 'Pizza' and now debutante director Deepan Chakravarthi is taking it further with his sequel to the thriller, 'Pizza 2: Villa'. The sequel is said to start of from a gripping scene in 'Pizza', rolling out on a thrilling screenplay, shot entirely in the beautiful city of Puducherry. Post the success of 'Pizza', the creative software professional Deepan found his calling in the backstage of tinseltown, and penned down 'Villa' in under a month. After methodical contemplation on plot and cast, the smart team went on the floors this April, and has now decided to release 'Villa' by November end. 'Villa' stars Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty of 'Soodhu Kavvum' fame in the lead. Further, Deepan has revealed that most of the characters seen in 'Pizza' are also part of the sequel, just that they are cast in different roles in 'Villa'. However, what the team is tight lipped about is the role that actor-director SJ Suryah plays in the movie. Keen eyes may have noticed Suryah's presence in a rather out-of-focus angle in the film's teaser, but despite periodic inquisition, the team does not speak a word on his role - so as "not to spoil the fun" as the director puts it. Given the absence of Suryah on screen since his cameo as Panchavan Parivendhan in the early 2012 release 'Nanban' (barring his guest appearance in promoting 'Kazhugu'), after nearly two years, 'Villa' will be a comeback on silver screen for the actor. Playing a pivotal role along with this jubilant team is Nassar. Think Music bagged the music rights of 'Villa', which has tunes composed by Santhosh Narayanan; it is worth mentioning that he is the same man who brought the scenes of 'Pizza' realistic as true to life. While the less-than-twenty-minute audio album has fared well in the music arena, there is no questioning the intense interest vested on the movie as a whole. Since its launch, the trailer of this movie has trended more than 50 thousand views, which is evident proof of curiosity on this movie. With Ashok Selvan playing Jebin the writer and Sanchita Shetty playing his love interest Aarthi, the film predictably delves into a lot of details of paintings in a particularly mysterious villa in Puducherry. Canned by Deepak Kumar Padhy, edited by Leo John Paul and distributed by Sun Pictures, gear up for yet another thrill ride as the film directed by CV Kumar and released by Thirukumaran Entertainment, 'Villa' is slated for a November 25 release. |
