'Pittagoda' is a tale of love and friendship produced by Sunshine Cinemas in association with Suresh Productions. Presented by D Suresh Babu and produced by Dinesh Kumar and Ram Mohan P, the film is set in the backdrop of the town of Godavarikhani in Telangana.

Producer Ram Mohan P has earlier produced critically-acclaimed movies like 'Ashta Chamma', 'Golkonda High School' and 'Uyyala Jampala'. Starring newcomer Vishwadev Rachakonda and Punarnavi Bhupalam in the lead roles, it is supported by 'Uyyala Jampala' fame Raju, 'Jabaradasth' Ramu, Shiva RS and Srikanth RN. Directed by Anudeep KV, it has music by 'Pranam' fame Kamlakhar.

Releasing the movie's third song, director Mohankrishna Indraganti has said that he hopes 'Pittagoda' will become a bigger hit than 'Ashta Chamma'. "Ram Mohan is a gutsy maker who can make stars out of newcomers. We had wanted to work together after 'Maya Bazaar', but that didn't fall in place. 'Pittagoda' is a catchy title. This should become a big hit," he said.

Actor Vishwadev said that he was doing the movie because he liked the title. Punarvi said that it was an impressive subject.

The director, who had worked for 'Uyyala Jampala', said that he developed the story based on real life incidents in his village. "The story revolves around four youngsters. The audience will be reminded of their childhood while watching 'Pittagoda'. I hope all of us will get good name after this," the director said.
