Pistah Song Completes a Fifty Lakh Views

In an interesting development, those who have been listing many other songs in the chart tops of last year need to go for a recheck. The 'Pistah' song in the last year's big hit 'Neram' has completed fifty lakh views in Youtube. This is the biggest ever viewership for any of the songs of a Malayalam movie on Internet. The song remixed and resung by Rajesh Murukeshan was originally from the Sathyan Anthikkad movie 'Kinnaram'.
The songs was included in the movie as a honour to the comedy star Jagathy Sreekumar who was originally featured in the scene of the film and who is undergoing treatment for more than a year, following an acident. But interestingly, while the original song on Youtube has been watched by a maximum of 3,06,000 viewers, the remix in Neram has completed fifty lakh , 41000 views and is still counting.
