Actor Jiiva is currently acting in a multistarrer which has been titled as Kalathil Santhippom, and the movie which also stars Arulnithi in lead role is getting ready for release. The first look poster and title of the film were released by Dhanush on friendship day.

The movie features Arulnithi and Jiiva as contrasting characters and best friends, and is directed by Rajasekar who had earlier directed the Vemal, Anjali starrer Mapla Singam. This movie has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and is the 90th production of Super Good Films.

While it was announced that Manjima Mohan will play Jiiva's pair and Priya Bhavani Shankar will play Arulnithi's pair, it has been revealed that this movie will also have a special appearance by Malayalam actress Prayaga Martin who had debuted in Tamil in the 2014 movie Pisasu directed by Mysskin.
