On Sunday morning, a pilot of Air India Express landing at Trivandrum International Airport highlighted the kite-hit risk to the air traffic control authorities after spotting a group of kites floating in the sky. After the alert was given to the terminal manager, a special Police force got into action and traced the source of kites. It was a group of children who were violating the lockdown norms and flying kites.
Reportedly, the pilot of the flight, which was returning from Sharjah, informed that the disturbance was created by a group of more than 25 kites (big and small). He also stressed the danger he had to face after one of the kites touched the engine and made it nearly impossible to land.
The Police have registered a case against the parents of the children for violating the lockdown norms and letting kids fly kites.
