After the success of 'Naan', 'Salim' and 'India Pakistan', Vijay Antony has acted in the fourth film as the hero and this time it has been directed by a man who has delivered some beautiful films like 'Sollamale', 'Rojakoottam' and 'Poo. Yes, Sasi has directed 'Pichaikkaran' with Vijay Antony and debutante Satna Titus in the lead roles. The film is touted to be an action thriller has been produced by Fathima Vijay Antony under the Vijay Antony Films banner. Prasanna Kumar is the cinematographer and Vijay Antony is the music composer of this film. Vijay Antony plays the role of a millionaire who acts as a beggar with a mission. These scenes were shot with Vijay Antony and real beggars.
The promotional song of the film 'Glamour song' got into controversy for the lines criticising the reservation system. Later the lines were tweaked.
'Pichaikkaran' has acquired a clean U certificate from the Censor board and the film will be hitting the screens amid huge expectations on March 4, 2016. Saravanan and Karthik of K.R.Films will be releasing `Pichaikkaran' in 500 screens across the globe, along with Sridhar of Sky lark Studios.
