A man from Mumbai has been arrested after female residents of a PG facility accused him of allegedly fixing hidden cameras in their bathroom.
The 43-year-old accused had rented an accommodation for women, while he apparently lived with his parents. The residents became suspicious when they found him mimicking private conversations of the girls. A device was later detected by them in the bathroom. They researched the machine on the internet and realized that it was actually a camera. The infuriated residents immediately filed a complaint at the DB road police station.
The accused owner has confessed fixing cameras in the bathroom, fans, windows, and electric switches as well.
He has been booked under the appropriate IPC and IT sections. Whether or not he has circulated the videos is yet to be known as the investigation is still underway.
