With the release of Rajinikanth’s Petta and Ajith’s Viswasam happening on January 10, the trailers of the movies were recently released by the respective producers, Sun Pictures and Sathya Jyothi Films. Both the trailers took social media by a storm soon after their release. Here’s a comparison of the two trailers to see which one fared better in terms of its reach with the audience.

While Petta’s trailer released on December 27, Viswasam’s trailer released on December 30.

The run-time of Petta’s trailer is precisely 2.29 minutes, while the run-time of Viswasam’s trailer is 2.15 minutes.

While Petta’s trailer garnered over 17.2M views after 6 days, Viswasam’s trailer hoarded over 17.8M views in just 3 days.

Viswasam’s trailer got the upper hand over Petta’s trailer in terms of the number of likes as well, as Viswasam got a whopping 1.2M likes, while Petta got approximately 667K likes. However, Viswasam’s trailer also exceeded Petta’s in terms of the number of dislikes, with 213K dislikes for the former and 70K dislikes for the latter.

While Petta’s trailer got approximately 32K comments, Viswasam’s trailer garnered approximately 107K comments.

It is quite apparent that Viswasam is more popular with its social media audience as of now, however, it is yet to be seen which of these two movies is going to fare better in terms of the significant aspects.
