Perhaps taking a cue from Shankar, Perarasu has decided to give opportunity to young filmmakers by venturing into production. The 'commercial director' says his production ventures will be no masala movies.

I came to film industry with a desire to direct movies that are close to real life. But circumstances made me to make masala films that have little realism, he says.

However, I have decided to fulfill my urge in a different way - that is by producing films. I am soon going to float my own production company which would give opportunity to aspiring directors who have reality themes in hands, Perarasu says.

Stating that the production company would bear the name of his daughter, the filmmaker adds a formal announcement in this regard would be made soon.

On his forthcoming film 'Thiruthani', he says, it is a commercial film with a difference. Bharath plays a youth who is brainy and brawny enough to face baddies. Sunaina's character in the movie comes with a suspense.
