Perarasu

Finally after much delay, Captain Vijayakanth's Perarasu might just see the light of the day. The movie produced by Khaja Mohideen of Roja Combines was completed long back but due to financial constraints has been lying in the cans for a long time.

Vijayakanth plays a CBI officer in Perarasu directed by debutant Udhayan. Mumbai girl Damini plays Vijayakanth's ladylove in the movie.

Quite typical to a Vijayakanth, the movie will be an action-packed entertainer with Vijayakanth single handedly fighting anti-socials and criminals in the society. Buzz is that Vijayakanth after a long gap plays a dual role in the movie.

Little is known about the Mumbai girl Damini. But suffice to say she will be a pretty young thing.

Udhayan had worked with the likes of Aabhavanan, Dharani, Maharajan and Ramesh Krishnan before. Besides directing he has also handled the story, screenplay and dialogues.

For the newcomer, the experience to work with Vijayakanth was a dream comes true. 'It is a challenge which has made me give the very best. As you can see, it's a tailor-made character for Vijayakanth, who relies on his mental and physical strengths to achieve the impossible. Meeting the expectations of the viewers is my immediate task.'

Prakash Raj, Ponnambalam, Ramesh Khanna, Mansoor Ali Khan, M S Baskar and Mumtaz form the supporting cast. Praveen Mani has scored the music.

Vijayakanth says, 'When you have the fire in your belly, half the battle is won. That is precisely what I found in Udhayan.'

The movie had come out well and would be a treat for my fans, he adds.

Praveen Mani, who has an ear for modern beats, has scored the music.

Vijayakanth's double variation in his character would be the chief attraction of the film.

It maybe double bill for his fans.
