Bandi Sanjay on Friday night said that the downfall of the TRS has begun. He sounded exuberant about the performance of the BJP in the GHMC polls. The state BJP chief alleged that the TRS ran a smear campaign against the saffron party and even created obstacles in the conduct of elections.

"The people have taught a fitting lesson to the TRS. They taught a lesson to KCR's son-in-law in the Dubbaka by-poll first and now to his son," Sanjay said.

He added that the BJP was deliberately projected as a hate-mongering party, a charge he said the people have decisively rejected.

On his part, Amit Shah described the performance of his party as astounding. "Gratitude to the people of Telangana for reposing faith in PM @NarendraModi led BJP’s Politics of Development. Congratulations to Shri @JPNadda ji and Shri @bandisanjay_bjp for BJP’s astounding performance in GHMC. I applaud the hard work of our karyakartas of @BJP4Telangana," the Home Minister wrote.
