The top ranking Tamil films director of 18 films, V Shekar addressing the media in Bangalore on his debut direction in Kannada ‘Hendtheera Darbar’ that is a remake of his film ‘Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana’ a runaway hit in Tamil, says “I go to ordinary people marriages and functions to get substance for my film.

I do not do the cinema looking at other cinema. I look at the natural happenings in real life. Add comedy element to it. In South India the culture is same. When I look at the maximum of failures of films in India I feel we are not telling the true story to the people with entertainment. We should see the life and give the story from the people”, says Shekar eking out from his experience.

“I am not big like Bharathiraja or Balachander. After shooting for my film I go to the people for my next subject. I sit at ten different places. Then I arrive at the subject. Then put it like a tablet that is coated. I always feel the producer should be ‘Chitra Premi’”, disclosed Shekar. “I have a strong a feeling that my team is set in Kannada language also. I will do more films in the coming years”, said the successful director Shekar.

“In my first direction in Kannada the contribution of actor cum director Ramesh Aravind is great. The performance of Meena, Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila are superb”, felt Shekar.

The entire speech of Shekar was translated to Kannada by actor Ramesh Aravind.
