Born in Kashi and brought up in Mumbai, Shanvi has always wanted to be an actor. In what may be called a blissful co-incidence, Lovely, as she is fondly called by family, got it lucky when B Jaya selected her for heroine's role. "I don’t know how to act. Thanks to the director who patiently taught me the ropes, I could pull off the role in my debut," says this girl who is doing her B.Com.

Acting in the role of Lavanya, a middle class girl, should have been a pleasure to her. When Jaya narrated the story, she felt that her character was close to the real she. She immediately gave the nod as she loved the story a lot.

Shanvi romances Aadi in Lovely, set to release on March 23. Importantly, she has good number of scenes with Rajendra Prasad. "I learnt a lot from him," she avers.

How does she like to be in real life? "I love being a traditional girl," she signs off.
