After making peace with the star system and going easy on that after a rather long standing relationship with them for years, Vikram Bhatt saw a major reinvention for himself, especially after '1920' (2008).

After his all-newcomer affair paid off, he moved on to making films that boasted of good concepts where stars were more incidental than necessary. Though his biggest money-spinner till date, 'Raaz 3', had Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu as the special attractions, it was again a script (and not star) driven affair.

Now that he has 5-7 films of his all set to go on floors, it would again be the concept that would hold strong with stars being add-ons.

"There was a time when if you had to see a star, you had to go to theaters. Today you can see them all over, whether it is newspaper, endorsements, YouTube, Twitter etc. There is no dearth of platforms. Earlier when a Big B film released, you saw him talking about it only in select magazines. Today he is selling Binani cement", he says.

"Let’s understand that people are going to theatres to watch stories and not actors. In a way this is good for the industry because all films that have done well in recent times boast of a good story, whether it is 'Kahaani', 'Vicky Donor', 'Paan Singh Tomar' or my own 'Hate Story'. That's being progressive."

With multiple films like 'Creature', 'Bhaag Johnny', 'Hate Story 2', 'Haunted 2', '1920 - III' and more to follow, one indeed looks forward to more content doing the talking here.
