Pen Studios, promoted by Jayantilal Gada, has announced that it has acquired the theatrical rights of 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' for the North Indian market (all languages). The distribution company also holds the Jr NTR-Ram Charan film's electronic, digital and satellite rights for all languages (read Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada).
"We are delighted to present the cinematic spectacle on the big screen in Hindi markets along with all languages," Pen Studios today said in a statement.
It may be noted that SS Rajamouli's producer, DVV Danayya, had finalized the deals for the Telugu States and Tamil Nadu before the North Indian deal.
Pen Studios' offer is said to be the most lucrative in the history of Indian cinema. While the amount is undisclosed, it's safe to assume that DVV Entertainments was paid a bomb for the omnibus deal. Given that Pen Studios now owns RRR's satellite and OTT rights for all languages, it must have offered the makers an astronomical price.
The film, also starring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and others, is currently scheduled to hit the screens on October 13.
