'PEMPAK' girl Radhika is excited

Radhika Mehrothra, the heroine of 'Prema Entha Madhuram Priyuraalu Antha Katinam' (PEMPAK), was in Hyderabad to promote her September release. The debutant is paired up with the Hyderabad-based Chandrakanth. Directed by Govardhan G, the film is set in the US.
Radhika, who holds a degree in Economics, says, "I was born and brought up in Jaipur. I have a theatre background and have performed as a drama troupe member."
Radhika has had an association with Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai. "I moved to New York three years ago to study acting at the acclaimed Lee Strasberg theatre and film institute. Last week I was in New York to perform a play 'The Music' in my blood at the 12th south Asian theatre festival for which I had won the best female lead award last year," she says.
Talking about her character in 'PEMPAK', she says, "My characters name is Mythili who is a very hardworking and dedicated girl with big dreams for herself and she stays optimistic in the face of all problems."
Chandrakanth hails from the same school as hers. "We got along very well for the same reason," she says.
"During the film's making, I also started watching Telugu films. I really enjoyed 'Prema Katha Chitram' and 'Bommarillu'. I absolutely love Nagaarjuna sir. I remember watching 'Criminal' and 'Zakhm'. He has always been my favourite ever since," she says.
