In her heyday, actress Ravali soared to super stardom in Tollywood, capturing the hearts of many as the quintessential dream girl. Her memorable portrayal in Raghavendra Rao's Pelli Sandadi left an indelible mark, showcasing a perfect blend of performance and beauty. Ravali's cinematic journey extended to Tamil and Hindi films, where she continued to enchant audiences with standout performances in movies like Subhakankshalu, Pelli Sandadi, Vinodam, and Mard.
However, the late 1990s brought a shift in her fortunes as offers dwindled in Tamil cinema. Two promising projects, Kaangeyan Kaalai opposite Parthiban and Ninaithale opposite Abbas, faced unexpected halts. Ravali's challenges extended to the film Nagalingam, where she went unpaid, prompting her to take legal action reported to the Nadigar Sangam, with the intervention of their chief Vijayakanth.
Despite her efforts, the magic she once wielded began to fade, losing the admiration of Telugu audiences who found her performances lacking freshness. Her foray into the Kannada film industry was short-lived. Recognizing the changing tides, Ravali concluded that the time was ripe for her to bid farewell to the cinematic world and embrace matrimony.
Ravali exchanged vows with Neeli Krishna on May 9, 2007, at Sarath Palace function hall in Kondapur, Hyderabad, officially marking her retirement from films. Welcoming motherhood, her first daughter arrived in May 2008, followed by the birth of her second daughter in July 2018. Recently, in a public appearance at Tirumala, observers were taken aback as Ravali, once a familiar face of grace and elegance, had undergone a noticeable transformation, notably putting on weight and adopting a different physical appearance. Fans expressed surprise and concern, questioning why she seemed less focused on her physique compared to older actresses who continued to radiate glamour.
