As teasers go, Pelli Choopulu's stands out for being instantly catchy. So-called multiplex films have their chunk of discerning audiences. After a rom-com like Ulavacharu Biryani, this season is coming up with two class-y stuff targeted at lovers of high-end stuff: Meeku Meere Maaku Meme and now, Pelli Choopulu.

The latter's teaser unveils two next-door characters: Prashanth, played by Vijay Devarakonda of Yevade Subrahmanyam fame and Chitra, played by Ritu Varma of Prema Ishq Kaadhal and Yevade Subrahmanyam fame.

Raj Kandukuri of Dharmapada Creations and Yash Rangineni of Big Ben Cinemas have joined hands with Vinoothna Geetha for this rom-com. This rom-com with a difference marks the coming together of passionate purveyors of parallel cinema. Vinoothna Geetha has produced short films like Anukokunda in which Ritu Varma has acted. On the other hand Tharun Bhascker Dhasyam, the debutante director, has made a couple of short movies. So, one hopes we are in for distinctive cinema.
