'Pelli Choopulu' director Tharun Bhascker complains to police after row

Director Tharun Bhascker of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame has lodged a police complaint against two individuals who have accused him of threatening them. It all began with the director making a social media post in which he had praised 'Kappela' (Malayalam) and said how it is in total contrast to the typical elements of mass masala Telugu movies. The director's hard-hitting comment that the hero in the movie doesn't give a namesake sermon on farming in the climax has been seen as a swipe at films like 'Maharshi'.
What followed after the post is an exercise in trolling and distortion, it seems.
Here is what the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' director said about the issue and his police complaint. For the past few days, a post that we had put up regarding films, in general, was distorted out of proportion on social media and was used to troll me and my team. In response to that, we had approached Cyber Crime Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and made two phone calls to two twitter IDs: namely Anudeep and Krishna Teja Chowdare. Anudeep's phone number was given by himself to my Line producer Sai & Krishna Teja Chowdare's we took from his public Facebook profile contact info. We called them, politely spoke to them about how this issue was distorted and portray against us and also mentioned to them how trolling can affect an individual. We also warned them that any abusive language, personal remarks here forth shall be taken seriously and we will make an official complaint to which they responded positively initially but chose to modify the conversation to look like a threat. We have submitted the phone conversations to the concerned officials which were made in their presence. We are taking this seriously and will take action against every threat, phone call, defamation, false allegation posts, and messages.
