Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal, who is famous for his roles in The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones and Wonder Woman 1984, took to social media to celebrate his younger sister, Lux, coming out as a transgender woman.
Sharing the cover of a magazine which featured Lux, Pedro Pascal wrote, "My sister, my heart, our Lux." Lux Pascal, who is an aspiring actress, opened up about her transition period and also talked about her brother being supportive throughout her journey. "He (Pedro) has been an important part of this. He is also an artist and has been a guide. He was one of the first people who gave me the things to form identity. For everyone in my family, my transition has been very natural. Almost something they expected to happen. I don't feel anxiety when I see old photos of mine. The same happens to me with theater: I see someone who was doing what they liked," Lux was quoted as saying by the magazine.
Speaking about her experience through her childhood and adolescent years, Lux added, "I think if I would have been sufficiently sure of myself I would have transitioned in my adolescence. In school I trusted my classmates. Coming out of the closet as a gay man didn't cost me anything, but deep down it wasn't who I was. It was only a step on the staircase, but it wasn't me."
