‘Peddi Pehelwan’ Glimpse: Ram Charan Unleashes a Rugged, Power-Packed Avatar

Marking the festive occasion of Sri Rama Navami and the birthday of Ram Charan, the makers of Peddi dropped a striking glimpse titled “Peddi Pehelwan,” instantly setting the tone for a high-energy, rooted action drama.

The video plunges straight into the earthy world of traditional wrestling, presenting Ram Charan in one of his most physically demanding transformations yet. With a heavily built, muscular look, the actor embodies raw strength and intensity, aligning perfectly with the film’s rustic backdrop. A particularly impactful moment shows him wielding a mace in a visual reminiscent of Lord Hanuman, adding a layer of cultural and emotional depth. The glimpse wraps up with a punchy dialogue that lands as a quintessential mass high.

Director Buchi Babu Sana appears to be steering the film towards a grounded yet powerful narrative, presenting the star in a refreshingly intense space. The glimpse balances mass appeal with a distinct tonal identity, hinting at a story rooted in tradition and grit.

Technically, the film leans into a raw visual aesthetic, with cinematographer R. Rathnavelu capturing the setting with a textured, immersive approach. Complementing this is A. R. Rahman’s pulsating background score, which adds weight and rhythm to the visuals.

The film features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, supported by a notable ensemble including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani.

With its intense first glimpse generating strong buzz, Peddi is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on April 30.
