Eesapu Eshwar Rao, his wife and two kids are residents of Vizianagaram. As peculiar families go, this is Jandhyala-level stuff. The family has been under self-imposed exile from the rest of the world. As per a TV channel report, Rao and family have restrained themselves from talking with anybody for the last four years.
They have been staying aloof from the rest of the world, so much so, the two kids haven't been to school! They don't entertain their neighbours. When one of the elders goes shopping for essentials, they make it a point to avoid every single person on the road. Even when a person known to them tries to indulge in a conversation, they get away from the place by avoiding even eye contact.
After observing their behaviour for years, officials recently knocked on their door and counselled them. Rao was asked to start sending the kids to school.
Rao's deviant behaviour is curious. However, he is also concerned about social good. Speaking to a news channel, he has said that some government schemes have been implemented in the wrong way. Ironically, he is not worried about the future of his kids, whom he has been punishing by not letting them socialize and lead normal lives.
The local administration has said that Rao and his family need mental health care.
