Ace cinematographer PC Sreeram, who has been quite active on social media, expressing his opinion on various social and movie industry related issues has now voiced out in support of freedom of expression on Twitter.
PC Sreeram's tweet followed after a jewellery brand was forced to remove its advertisement portraying a Hindu woman getting married into a Muslim household. The ad presents a Hindu woman, and her baby shower being organised by her Muslim in-laws' family. The ad turned controversial and after objection from many Hindu outfits on social media calling out for the boycott of the brand, the ad was taken down.
Expressing his disappointment at this boycott movement, PC Sreeram tweeted, "#Boycott this #Boycott that. Where r we heading towards We r supposed to be free decomcratic county. If you doesn’t agree with the content just ignore it, but freedom of expression should never be curtailed. Long live freedom of expression."
