Over the past few days there has been a controversy over an advertisement from Tanishq jewellery, which had depicted a Hindu girl's baby shower function organised by her Muslim in-laws, and this ad was removed by the company.

The company had withdrawn the ad after hate campaigns on social media against the company and the ad by several political and religious outfits. This lead to many celebrities voicing out in support of the advertisement.

Ace cinematographer PC Sreeram, who's quite active on social media has tweeted about the issue saying that India is losing its beauty because of such hatred. He tweeted "A beautiful commercial which speaks of love has been withdrawn due to people who love ..hate ,than love...love.One by one India is losing its. Beauty & it’s belief in oneness .Future generations might think hate is the new word of love.#Thanishq".
