Payal Rohatgi relegated to a photo frame in ASMM

After her entry into Subhash Ghai productions with '36 China Town', Payal Rohatgi may have been hoping for a double bill with Ghai's next 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. She was 'promoted' too from being Paresh Rawal's seductress wife in the former to honest cop Suneil Shetty's better half in 'Apna Sapna....'.

But it is evident that it turned out to only being a 'sapna' for Payal to scale further heights, at least in a Mukta Arts film, as at the editing table, her role was chopped off completely in this mad caper of a dozen odd characters. This is the reason why she makes just a fleeting appearance in the film, and that too while being confined to a photo frame hanging on the walls of Shetty's household.

Now that's quite a sad state of affairs for Payal since she was pining a lot on 3 of her big films this year - '36 China Town', 'Corporate' and 'Apna Sapna Money Money'.

Side note: She may seek solace from a fact that the same had happened to Raveen Tandon too when she played a 'photo-framed' beloved of Sunny Deol in Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Damini'.
