'Kirathaka' is the title of a crime thriller that will go on the floors soon. Directed by Veerabhadram of 'Aha Naa Pellanta' and 'Bhai' fame, the film is headlined by Aadi Saikumar. The project was firmed up in April.

On Tuesday, producer Nagam Tirupathi not only announced the title but also made the name of its heroine official. Payal Rajput will be its female protagonist. The 'RX 100' actress hopes to make a noteworthy return to the silver screen after flops in the shape of 'Disco Raja' in the past.

The 'RDX Love' and 'Venky Mama' actress was last year seen in the Aha original 'Anaganaga O Athidhi', which was the remake of a Kannada film.

As for 'Kirathaka', it will likely release later this year or early next year. Director Veerabhadram has previously also helmed 'Chuttalabbayi' and 'Poola Rangadu'. Aadi Saikumar, who was seen in 'Sashi' in March this year, is also doing a horror-thriller titled 'Jungle'. Written and directed by Karthik and Vignesh, the Telugu-Tamil film features Vedhika as the female lead.
