Actress Payal Ghosh recently filed an FIR against renowned Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, accusing him of sexually harassing her in 2014. The director denied her claims.
Payal Ghosh has now come forward with a shocking allegation that if she is ever found hanging from the ceiling of her apartment, it would not be a result of suicide. "I have given an interview regarding the entire episode on Mr. Kashyap to a renowned portal and the next thing I get to know that they are seeking permission from Mr. Kashyap himself. India, if I am found hanging from the ceiling, remember this. I didn't commit suicide. They have the narrative ready of depression and medication," she wrote in her post. Payal's advocate has now mentioned in a statement that their next legal step should be the arrest of Anurag Kashyap. "I am clearing everything here. Right now I am heading to the police station, and so far I would like to mention, our priority is to get Kashyap arrested, because the offense is non-bailable. We have lodged FIR and we have not received any response from Kashyap. We do not want any response but we want the police to arrest him. Under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) we are filing another case on the ground of his involvement in child sexual abuse. We have seen the video that has surfaced on the internet, where he admits his involvement in child sexual abuse," the lawyer informed a news agency.
An FIR has been registered against Anurag Kashyap under sections 376(1), 354, 341, 342, including rape, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of woman, of the Indian Penal Code.
