Never the one to accept a film unless it really offers him a platform to experiment and entertain, Pawan Kalyan latched on to the scipt of Panjaa for a reason. He had always wanted to act in a film that is set against the mafia backdrop with a love story interwoven into the plot.

The wait was finally over when the script was offered by the talented Vishnu Vardhan. Say the producers, "The film has got the elements of mafia backdrop as well as a love story. Pawan had always been wanting to act in a film like this. He gave the green signal because he found the qualities of such a subject in Panjaa."

The film boasts of oodles of comedy scenes as well as loads of action. Everybody has acted with the limits of their characters and with considerable restraint.

The producers predict that Pawan's dances are going to have the audience go ga-ga. Panjaa, they are confident, will make every Teluguite proud.
