Was Pawan very much in the town, but still did not make it to the Raccha event? After a prominent Telugu-language daily asked 'If Pawan Kalyan was not in the town, how could Gabbar Singh climax scenes be shot from the 12th', director Harish Shankar took upon himself to strike off the argument as figment of imagination.

"There is a huge chasing scene in the climax where 20 sumos are involved. They did not need Pawan Kalyan's presence on the location. That’s why the hero had left for US. Fans need not take such rumours seriously", he said.

The report was written on the basis of Harish Shankar’s twitter post, in which he said that the climax scenes would be shot from March 12. The audio release function was held on the evening of the 11th.
