Earlier in the day, we reported about the big buzz in the film industry right now. It is that the Mega camp is keen on waging an all-out war against those TV channels that have been "prejudiced" against Pawan Kalyan. Based on some reports, we wrote that Chiranjeevi allegedly wants the film industry to boycott some TV channels.
As per an insider who is privy to yesterday's supposed "secret" meeting involving Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu and a few other heroes, the meeting had nothing to do with imposing a ban on TV channels. Actually, it was about taking steps, among others, to improve facilities for female artists, junior artists, etc on film sets. The stars, along with a few producers, also deliberated upon a couple of other issues affecting Tollywood.
As for TV channels, there is hardly any proposal to boycott them, says the insider. In fact, the film industry heads are of the benign view that the channels have only been highlighting issues (like casting couch) that are a reality. Only that they are "exaggerating" the problem. The proposal is to hold deliberations with the editors of electronic media so that future reportage doesn't blow things out of proportion.
