Pawan Kalyan's interview to a popular Hindi daily offers some more insights into his personality. Days ahead of the release of Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Power Star has given this interview to the daily because the Hindi version is a gargantuan release.

Besides mentioning that he has been a fan of Amitabh Bacchan since childhood, Pawan made it a point to say that the legendary NTR and Chiranjeevi are irreplaceable in Telugu.

For the first time ever, he has talked about his favourite Bollywood directors. Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bhardwaj and Nishikant Kamat are his favourites among the current crop of filmmakers.

Revealing that Sholay's 'Jo dar gaya.. samjho mar gaya' is his ideal, Power Star speaks about his desire to connect with the Hindi audience. Sharing an anecdote, Pawan talks about people requesting him during his visit to Varanasi to do Bollywood. They know him thanks to dubbed films being telecast on television.

Saying that his father had to go underground for following Communist ideology way back in the '60s, Power Star says that learning about the Leftist and Rightist ideologies convinces him that middle path is the way forward. He had said this earlier in the run-up to the 2009 elections.
