When he was cherry-picked by Pawan to play Bhairon Singh in Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Sharad Kelkar's happiness knew no bounds. Though the film flopped, Kelkar's performance and screen presence weren't overlooked.

Sharad has now got second time lucky. Well, he has been chosen to play the villain's role in Pawan's next. This time, too, it's Power Star who has taken the call. His next, to be directed by Dolly of Gopala Gopala fame, is a factionist love story set in Rayalaseema. While Pawan will be seen in 'pancha kattu' and 'kanduva' for the first time in a full-fledged role, Sharad too will be seen in a native Seema get-up. So, while he was more of a Central Indian villain in SGS, he will be 'pucca' Seema thug in his next.

A budding villain down South can't ask for more. One can't recall a villain who has been cast opposite a superstar not once but twice in two films back-to-back.
