Pawan Kalyan's statement: Much ado about nothing

Over the last two days, many media outlets have gone overboard in reporting on Pawan Kalyan saying that his party will contest in as many seats as it can in 2019 after taking stock of its strength. "We will contest in all the 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh, strength permitting," the Jana Sena chief has been quoted saying based on a tweet shared by the party's official handle on Oct 1st.
In presenting this piece of information, sections of media have suggested that Power Star is flexing his muscles vis-a-vis the TDP government. In fact, this is much ado about nothing.
Pawan has always suggested that Jana Sena's political strategy will depend on an honest assessment of its strengths in 2019. The particular statement that has been publicized in the media was made on Sept 1st and not Oct 1st as has been suggested. So, it's no fresh statement.
Secondly, Pawan was not saying this as if he were posing a challenge to the ruling party.
