Pawan Kalyan wants country's name to be changed

Recently, a Delhi-based businessman approached the Supreme Court with the request that it should direct the Modi government to change the name of the country from India to Bharat. Hearing the petition, Chief Justice of India SA Bobde said, "We can't do that. India is already called Bharat in the Constitution." It also left the option of discarding the word 'India' from the Constitution to the government.
It seems actor-politician Pawan Kalyan is in huge favour of 'India' being discarded in favour of 'Bharat', which he seems to view as a civilizational term that suits the soul of our country.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the Jana Sena chief retweeted this view written by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev: "Nation can come of age only when it unshackles itself from Occupation history. ‘India’, a given name, can never resonate as deeply as ‘Bharat’- a name with cultural and historical power. This is not about renaming but about reclaiming ‘Bharat’."
Going by this retweet, it is safe to think that the 'Vakeel Saab' actor likes the name of the country to be altered.
