Pawan Kalyan, who has been actively expressing views on some nationally-popular issues like Gauri Lankesh's murder on Twitter, has now got 2 million followers on Twitter. The Jana Sena chief has always been among the most popular male celebs in South India.

The actor, however, trails Mahesh Babu, Rana Daggubati and Rajamouli. Rajamouli at 3.58 million is far more popular, but in the last few weeks, Mahesh at 3.91 million has pipped the 'Baahubali' maker. Rana now commands 3.59 million followers. While Rajamouli's score has not progressed much, Mahesh's score has grown exponentially in a matter of a few weeks.

Even superstars like NTR and Allu Arjun have only about 1 million and 1.5 million followers, respectively, on the micro-blogging site. Many celebs are more popular on Facebook than Twitter, but Pawan Kalyan is yet to debut on the former.
