The spike in Covid-19 positive cases and fatalities in Telangana has forced the makers of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab to call off the special premiere or benefit shows across the State. Initially, producer Dil Raju and Shirish have planned benefit shows of Vakeel Saab starting from 7 AM on April 9 in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. Now that the State recorded over 1300 cases on Sunday, the makers have put their plans on the back burner. Also, Nivetha Thomas, who plays one of the three lead women in the film, has tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. So thinking about the safety and other rules, the makers have decided to cancel the special premiere or benefit shows.
Directed by Sriram Venu, Vakeel Saab will open in cinemas from morning (11 AM) shows across the State with Hyderabad city being an exception. It is being said that the first show of Vakeel Saab is expected to begin around 8:45 AM at Prasads multiplex in Hyderabad. The advance bookings of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer are in full swing and the movie buffs are trying their best to grab tickets for the comeback film of Powerstar.
However, the film will have a special premiere and benefit shows starting from 4 AM across Andhra Pradesh. The ticket sales for these premiere shows have already begun on Sunday. Janasena cadre along with Pawan Kalyan fans are leaving no stone unturned to make Vakeel Saab a record opener in Andhra and Rayalaseema.
A remake of the acclaimed Hindi film Pink, Vakeel Saab also features Shruti Haasan in a cameo.
