Pawan Kalyan has urged the Telangana government to allot plots to the families of cine workers in Hyderabad's Chitrapuri Colony. The Jana Sena chief has been briefed by the representatives of cine workers about the issue that concerns at least 35,000 families.
"Hyderabad is the home to the Telugu film industry. Telugu cinema not only entertains its audience but also provides direct and indirect livelihood opportunities to lakhs of workers. When the Telugu film industry was shifting its base from Chennai to Hyderabad, the Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy government allotted more than 67 acres to 4,000 families. Since then, the industry's size has multiplied. Therefore, much more is needed for cine workers," Pawan Kalyan said.
Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao is leading the campaign. He appreciated the Jana Sena leader's support.
