A year ago, Pawan Kalyan had tweeted that he was very sad over activist Muni Koti's death due to self-immolation while on a dharna demanding the conferment of special category status on Andhra Pradesh. On the same day in 2015, he further said, "I am restraining myself from speaking further on 'AP Spl Status' in a volatile situation like this which caused his Death."

Today, the actor and Jana Sena Party chief, who supports the cause of SCS for AP, has decided to extend financial help to the bereaved family to help them sail through the crisis they have been in ever since the death of the able-bodied male member.

This gesture goes to show that Pawan has been emotionally affected by Muni's unfortunate suicide.
