Dredging Corporation of India, which is sought to be privatized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, has its employees complaining. Some representatives of the SPSE's employees on Saturday called on actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
After keenly listening to them, Pawan felt that the profit-making public enterprise shouldn't be privatized. "Be it the Centre or the state government, they have the responsibility to listen to the people's problems. On what basis are they privatizing this profit-making venture. What answer can they give these employees? When the news about its proposed privatization first appeared in a newspaper, the employees got nervous," Power Star said at his party office in Hyderabad.
Interacting with Jana Sena Party's social media wing very recently, the actor has said that he will start meeting farmers from October onwards.
"If the farmers' woes are to be lessened, middlemen should be done away with. My party accords a prime of place for farmers and agriculture. Water conservation and unadulterated foods, among others, should be ensured for each and every farmer," Pawan had said.
