Pawan Kalyan has decided to throw his weight behind the BJP in the GHMC polls, due to be held on December 1. On Thursday, Jana Sena Party had announced that its candidates will be contesting in up to 60 divisions. A day later, the party supremo asked them to withdraw from the nomination after holding negotiations with the saffron party.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy met with Pawan Kalyan and Nadhendla Manohar on Friday. An arrangement was reached and Jana Sena decided not to contest the polls to let its saffron partner go ahead as a solo fighter.
Addressing the media, the actor-politician made a mention of the Dubbaka by-poll and Bihar victories and attributed them to Narendra Modi. He acknowledged the enthusiasm of his party's cadres to participate in the GHMC polls.
The decision by Pawan to let the BJP go the whole hog has got a mixed response from his online supporters.
