Actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has once again taken to Twitter to champion the cause of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. This time, he is only more explicit and sharp in criticizing the approach of the ruling Telugu Desam Party, the party he campaigned for in 2014. Not stopping at that, he even said that the MPs from YSR Congress Party are doing a commendable job in the Parliament.
"I think TDP MPs have forgotten the insult of their MPs getting beaten up by North MPs in the Parliament during State bifurcation. I request TDP, "DO NOT MORTGAGE THE SELF RESPECT"of the people of AP to centre for your personal benefits," he said a while ago. He categorically took on the silence maintained by TDP MP and Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju on the issue. "It's quite disquieting to see the absence of TDP MPs in Parliament during a discussion on the issue," the JSP leader said.
"YSR MPs are doing commendable job in pursuing AP Spls status at Centre," he tweeted, sharing a newspaper report featuring the statements made by YSRCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy on the floor of Parliament.
He also thanked two TRS MPs, Kesava Rao and Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, for their support to the cause.
"I too agree that restraint and caution should be shown with the centre, but when repeated injustice is being meted out to us then where is the need?" he said in another tweet.
