While it was speculated that Power Star Pawan Kalyan will speak on quitting films at his Tirupathi meeting, the actor sprung a surprise by saying that he will continue to act!

"I will do films. I will have to work because I don't have enough money. Na daggara dabbulu levabba", he said with an infectious smile on his face.

He further jocularly said that he didn't make money with 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' because people didn't watch it. "I will earn only if you buy the tickets. Ee sai gattiga choodandabba", he said in a lighter vein.

The actor-turned-Jana Sena Party founder made it clear that he will dabble in both cinema and politics. "I will do both cinema and politics. By politics, I don't mean to say it in a negative sense. I stand for selfless politics, a politics done with public interest in mind. I don't yearn for positions. I stand for social change", he said.

Pawan announced his plan to organize a public meet on Sept 9. "In Kakinada on that day, I will raise the pitch for Special Category Status for AP", Pawan said.
