It's known that more than six people were charred to death today in a shocking accident in Andhra Pradesh. High-tension electric cables fell on an auto-rickshaw in which farm labourers were travelling. The incident took place in Sri Sathya Sai district. The Chillakondaiahpalli village in the Tadimarri mandal has been hogging headlines today for the same reason.

In a statement on Thursday, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan expressed his deep condolences to the families of the bereaved. The Jana Sena chief said that the incident is deeply shocking and extremely saddening. He sounded sympathetic towards the plight of daily-wage earners who sometimes have to navigate in risky situations.

Pawan opined that the government should look into issues that result from neglect and oversight. "We read about instances where heavy rains cause electric wires to dangle or fall off precariously. But today's accident happened in normal circumstances. The focus that government shows on raising electricity charges is absent when it comes to ensuring proper maintenance," Pawan added.

He alleged that the carelessness of the government is the reason why the tragedy happened.
