Pawan Kalyan has a style when it comes to speaking up on public issues. Following the Tamil people's unity on Jallikattu, Powerstar has done just that. The incurable Nature-lover has come out in support of the ancient bull-hugging sport by posting a series of tweets with pictures of him, among others, tending to animals in his Goshala.
"I have deep respect & reverence for our Culture, Animals and Mother Nature," he started off saying today. Before saying his final word on Jallikattu, Pawan introduced folks to his way of life. "Mixing 'jeevamrutham' according to our traditional farming methods. Planting a sapling of indigenous variety with Sri Vijaya Rama Rao who introduced me to Palekar farming methods. The calf and cow in the background are from my personal 'Goshala' of 16 plus cows and calves. Looking at the cows and roosters in my farm made me to think about the ban of Jallikattu and Kodipandem in Dakshin Bharath," he said.
"Ban on Jallikattu and Kodipandem by Govt of India is an attack on Dravida culture and integrity. This is how it's being viewed in Dakshin Hindustan. I observed this deep hurt in people while I was shooting in Pollachi (Tamil Nadu) and during my interactions in Andhra about the ban of their respective cultural events in recent times," Powerstar said.
Pawan has always been vocal about the need to save cows/bulls by personally adopting them. In a recent political speech, the Jana Sena chief asked pro-beef ban organizations to adopt a cow each.
