Whether or not Pawan Kalyan believes in God is no longer a moot question. From what is available in the public domain, though, the idea of God is relevant to him only to the extent of making one a moral being.

Speaking yesterday at the auspicious Koti Deepotsavam held at NTR grounds, Hyderabad, Powerstar said that he was a God-fearing person. "I have always been a God-fearing person since childhood. I believe God protects the Dharma. I am not getting words to speak on this occasion. I just want to say that God gives us what we need, not everything we may ask of him," a dhothi-clad Pawan said.

Tanikella Bharani recently revealed that Pawan had once evinced interest in essaying Lord Shiva's role on screen if ever the veteran were to make a devotional on the deity. It looks like Lord Shiva is Pawan's favourite God.
