A day after Jayadev Galla, the TDP MP, invoked 'Bharat Ane Nenu' in the Parliament, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday referred to 'Ghajini', the Suriya-AR Murugadoss blockbuster, in hitting out at the ruling TDP and its "doublespeak" on special category status.
He began by quoting what Jayadev Galla had said in March 2017 about SCS. "Special package far better than SCS," is what Galla opined. And now, he is saying that special status is everything to him. Pawan juxtaposed these two quotes, complete with Galla's pictures.
The Jana Sena leader then said that the TDP has diluted the SCS by colluding with the BJP in the past. "Can you give guarantee that tomorrow you will not change your stand according to your convenience? 175 MLAs, 25 MPs is not AP; every word each one of them utters and every action of theirs is accountable to 5 crores of people. A new generation has awakened, kindly don’t take them as a bunch of mute spectators (sic)," Pawan said.
As a parting shot, he said, "Like in ‘Ghazni’ film's hero’s short-term memory loss, TDP also has developed ‘Convenient Memory loss Syndrome’."
