Pawan Kalyan today once again waded into the TTD pink diamond controversy. Supporting the concerns raised by the former TTD chief Ramana Dikshitulu, he said that the AP government's explanation regarding the missing pink diamond (part of the platinum necklace of the Lord) are not satisfactory.
"Why don't they recreate the scene with forensic experts. How did that diamond break into fragments just because some devotees threw coins at it? Only if the scene is recreated will we come to know the right answers. Even the old adage 'As hard as the diamond' can be put to rest," Power Star said.
The Jana Sena chief added, "According to the AP Govt's Lord Balaji’s Pink Diamond missing theory, any robber in the country can relieve jewellery from idols by throwing a handful of coins at them while the procession is going on. By the way, what about other missing jewels stored in the Vaults?"
He further said that the then opposition TDP was aware of the fact that the diamond had been stolen (during the Congress regime), as told to him by an IPS officer. Pawan claimed the IPS officer as saying that the diamond was siphoned off to a Middle Eastern country.
"Do the robbers assume that Lord Balaji is mute and so, it's OK to rob him?" the Jana Sena chief asked.
